Çelik çatılar betonarme çatılara oranla çok daha hafiftirler. Hafif olmaları sayesinde etkiyen eşdeğer Deprem kuvvetlerini azaltırlar.Çelik Çatılar geniş açıklıkların geçilebilmesini mümkün kılar. Bu durumda oluşturulacak hacim büyür ve daha ferah alanlar yaratılabilir.
